Snow Sports Merit Badge
and Ski Opportunity
Feb. 1st, Feb. 8th, Feb. 12th
Do you love getting outside in winter and playing in the snow? Then the snow sports merit badge is for you!
Just love to ski and want to take advantage of a good deal?
We've got you covered.
Friday Feb. 12th we will be skiing at Hyland Park. We can get a
group rate with 20 people or more. With the group each participant pays:
$23 for ski pass
$17 for equipment rental
$8 for helmets
ALL those who are interested in skiing at Hyland must register with the SignUp Genius link:

Merit Badge Information
The merit badge will be a 3 part process starting TONIGHT.
PART 1: Monday Feb . 1st : 7pm via ZOOM
discussion and classroom work.
Please have requirements 1-6 completed in the workbook prior

discussion and classroom work.
PART 3: Friday Feb. 12th: times vary at HYLAND PARK
Terrain park work - downhill skiing
(this is where you show off your skills!)
Each MB participant must bring a completed workbook this day.
Merit Badge participants will be placed into 3 groups of 12 Scouts based on skill level and times available. Each group will work for 2 hours with Mr. Gessford to show their proficiency at the skills required for the merit badge. Groups will be determined after the Feb. 8th Zoom session.
Times offered: 12 noon, 2:30pm, 5:00pm.
(All Scouts & families from both the Boys' and Girls' Troop 283 are welcome.)
