Okpik!!! One of the four National High Adventure Bases.

Parents: This is one of the four National High Adventure bases, and we have it in our own state! It's truly an amazing camp out opportunity to attend! It is ABSOLUTELY worth the trip. The Scouts will remember this for the rest of their lives.

Scouts Schedule at a Glance:
What: Okpik Winter Trek
When: Jan 24th - 27th, 2019
Where: Northern Tier Base Camp. 14790 Moose Lake Rd. Ely, MN. 55731


​Information:
Gear: Some basic cold weather gear(see pdf list below) is provided by Northern Tier's Okpik base camp. You'll have some required gear to bring.
Trailer Loading/Travel: 
Thursday Jan 24th at 5:30pm, meet at WCC to leave by 6:00
Unloading/Travel: Sunday Jan 27th approximately 5:00pm at WCC.


Camp out Events:
Thursday: Travel to Okpik(Roughly 5 hours)
Friday/Saturday: Cross Country Skiing, Snowshoeing, Ice Fishing, Quinzhee Building, Walking into the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness, and so much more.

Sunday: Breakfast, Clean up camp, Head back to WCC. Arrival in the afternoon.
