We hope that you will find answers to your questions about Troop 283 right here. While the best way to get a true "feel" for a unit is to visit a troop meeting and then join them for an outing, this section will give you most of the background information that you will need to help make your decision about joining Troop 283 and our vision of what a Scout troop should be.

If you don't find what you're looking for here, or if you just have a question you'd like answered, please do not hesitate to send an email to the Scoutmaster. Are you trying to find the 'right' troop? Do you know what to look for? What questions to ask? The Troop Selection Guide is an objective aid written by professional Scouters. This guide does not promote a specific troop and is designed to help you find the best troop to join.
