You may qualify to receive a Presidential award Pin and Certificate from the President of the United States!
Scouts (up to age 14)
Bronze Award 50-74 hours/ yr
Silver Award 75-99 hours/yr
Gold Award 100+ hours/yr
Scouts (15-18 yrs)
Bronze 100-174 hrs
Silver 175-249 hrs
Gold 250 hrs
Patrols and Troop 283 can earn awards too!
Enter your service hours into the National Data Base. Parents, you may enter the data for youself and your scouts.
You must first get detailed instructions how to enter your hours, and obtain a Group Key Number and a Cerifying Organization number, before you register and begin recording your data.
Once registered, you may go directly to the National Data Base, enter your ID and password, and record your service hours.

Troop 283 strives to foster a culture of service and citizenship in our community. Scouts and adults may record the service hours they have comleted for their church, school, or community group, such as: WCC Rummage Sale, Hillcrest Bingo, Scouting for Food, Parkers Lake Clean up, All Eagle Scout Projects, Collecting/ Delivering items to IOCP
