Justin L. Completes his Eagle Project - May 14, 2005

On May 14th Justin L., a Boy Scout from Troop 283 in Wayzata was successful in completing his Eagle project with the help of over 30 volunteers from his Boy Scout Troop and from the community. The volunteers planted 60 trees at Cedar Manor School along Hwy 169 to create a tree barrier that as the trees continue to grow will isolate the school from freeway noise. The City of St Louis Park Forestry Department was on hand to help with planting the first tree. The St Louis Park Rotary also was on hand to be a part of the event and shared in the event with their donation of $750 to the project.
