The boys won 3rd Place in the cook-off competition.

Most of the pictures are of the guys trying to cook and egg and bacon in a bag. It actually works.

The weather was really great! Warm, With Fall Colors, No Bugs and a Full Moon. Awesome.

We stopped for dinner after leaving the church Friday night and ended up at Stearns when it was dark. Luckily there was beautiful full moon to help light our way to the campsite. After hauling all our stuff into
the site, we found we could have parked a couple hundred yards closer to the site if we would have parked on a different road. Oh well what can you say it was dark. Saturday was the Camporee. There were various stations where they learned about Nutrition, Careers in Cooking, Safe Cooking and did some Outdoor cooking over coals at the last station. After lunch we headed over to Frisbee golf and played both courses. Not sure who won, or who kept score, but it was fun. After the flag lowering the cook-off started. Each of the 3 patrols submitted a soup or stew, bread ,muffin and a dessert. After dinner we went to the Camporee campfire were we saws some skits, sang some songs and sat around the file. The winners of the camp inspection and the cook-off were announced. The no name patrol (actually the Panthers and Wolves) took 3rd place in the cook-off. The rest of the night we enjoyed the warm weather at the camp site.
