Troop 283 Scouts Attend Many Point All-Star Camp
Eight boys from Troop 283 including one new tenderfoot scout, Jared W., previously from Troop 461, arrived at Camp Sunday afternoon for the first session of All Star Camp, June 25 - July 1, 2006. All Star Camp was originally created for scouts who could not go to summer camp with thier own Scout troop, becuase of family vacations, summer school or a sports conflict. However, many of the boys from Troop 283 attend All-Star Camp, in addition to summer camp with thier own Troop, becuase "it is fun and
that way [we} can go to Many Point Camp twice a year".
