Scouts Attended James J. Hill Days Parade
" I was the leader of the parade of the color guard for boy scout troop 283. It was Sunday, September 10th 2006. The scouts in/as the color guard were me (Anthony L.) Aaron L., Adam B., Weston B., Riley K., and Christopher L. Adam and Aaron held the flags, Aaron with American, and Adam with the Troop Flag. We marched behind the American Legion, and followed there steps to look "official." We were at the front of the line to go before all the floats and everything. The weather wasn’t very good, it was raining just slightly and it was very cold, we all hated it. It stopped after the parade and we walked around. It got pretty good after that, but it was still very cold. I had done this parade for 3 years now, and this is the first year I didn’t carry a flag, but it is always fun. I loved doing this and I hope I never stop doing it." (Anthony L.)
