Parkers Lake Clean Up/Scouting for Food - April 28, 2007
Volunteer Opportunity - Parker's Lake Clean Up and Scouting for Food, Troop 283 and Pack 388 Scouts
"It was a beautiful morning to pick up garbage at the Parker's Lake Picnic Area in Plymouth. We had orange juice, milk, and boxes of really great donuts before we started to work. We found some very interesting garbage. We found a skate board with only one wheel missing. Mr. Janke found a dead squirrel that was perfectly flat and dried out. It was in the shape of a squirrel. We did a lot of walking. Cub Scouts from Pack 388 also helped pick up garbage. Some of the garbage got pretty heavy to carry. I thought it would rip though the plastic bag. I would recommend that all the scouts attend this event in the future. It is sort of fun."
