Scout Attended Many Point All-Star Camp
Scouts from T 283 arrived for the first session of Many Point All-Star Camp Sunday afternoon. The week long session is for scouts who can not go to summer camp with their own Scout troop, because of family vacation, summer school, sports conflicts, or whatever. However, for most of the boys who attend All-Star Camp, it is a chance to attend Many Point twice during the summer, once on their own, and then with their Troop. According to the boys, "what is great about All-Star Camp is that there are no parents!" Scouts are organized into patrols and do everything a regular Scout troop does. Special attention is given to each Scout's interests, especially advancement. The All-Star Troop has a great full-tim Scoutmaster and an Assistant Scoutmaster to help each Scout.
