In the Boy Scout program our young men are achieving the core objectives of strengthening character, personal fitness and good citizenship. It is a youth development program whose purpose is to prepare young men to become responsible and caring adults.

Scouts and Adult Leaders - It is that time of the scouting year where we would like to remind you all that your annual dues need to be paid by December 15, 2007. Scouts dues are $30, Leaders dues are $10. These annual dues represent only a small portion of the total amount the Troop spends on each scout, which includes the Scout’s awards, Troop activities, and a subscription to BSA Boy's Life magazine. Your prompt payment is greatly appreciated.

For your convenience, Troop 283 has added a time saving payment method that’s simple, safe, and secure. The dues can be paid online by using PayPal or deducted from your son's Scout Account.
