Draft Horse Logging Camp out - January 26 - 28, 2018

Winter camping, YES it can be done!

Join the Troop as we go to Tomahawk Scout Reservation in Wisconsin for a throwback weekend of fun and excitement. Learn how to be an original lumberjack, 1893 style . It is a great experience and you WILL have fun!  Knapp Stout logging camp, is a historically themed outpost forever stuck in 1893.

Why Winter Camping? Winter Camping is an important part of Scouting, especially if you live in Minnesota or Wisconsin. No need to be afraid of the elements since you'll be quite active and warm with the challenging activity of Draft Horse Logging. We won't be pulling sleighs as big as the picture, but you will learn some basics of how the "old timers" did it.
