|
ALL ABOARD!!!
Registration is now OPEN for the Lake Minnetonka District Fall Camporee! This will be a unique Safari-themed Challenge and includes the event that Troops have been talking about – THE IRON HORSE ENCOUNTER! Sign up NOW to reserve your place at this classic Lake Minnetonka Camporee that will surely be an experience you won’t want to miss.
Come out to Fred C Andersen camp and join us for the weekend, or just for the day. Patrols and Crews will compete in Safari themed challenges throughout the event. You’ll also be able to experience a nostalgic train ride on the Osceola and St. Croix Valley Railway where you can relax and soak in the beautiful fall scenery of the St Croix valley. In addition to other adventure related merit badges, you will also have the chance to tour the train museum in Osceola as well as earning the Railroading Merit Badge. Finally, we also have a very fun Safari-themed campfire set for Saturday evening where we’ll recognize the winners of our challenges and continue the Train & Safari themes of our program. Webelos are also absolutely encouraged to attend, either camping along with a Boy Scout Troop, or just register online and come for the day with your Den or family.
Troops & Crews can start sharpening up scouting skills now since the Scout Safari will challenge your patrols survival and emergency preparedness skills. Our host units (Troops 295, 539, 586, 589) as well as our district activities team look forward to having you join us Friday Oct 14-16 near Stillwater. See you at the Scout Safari!!
