Scout to First Class Scout Skills
This page is designed to be a resource for all scouts working on their Scout to First Class ranks. These ranks require the Scout to practice and master many different skills from knots to first aid and more. While all Scouts are required to learn these skills only once on their trail to Eagle and remember that skill for a lifetime, it is not uncommon for a Scout to temporarily forget a certain skill or two. Especially if they have not participated in Troop activities that require these skills. For that reason it is a good idea for all Scouts regardless of rank to revisit these skills and make sure they are prepared to use them when called upon. Below you will find the current Skills class schedule, videos to help teach you the various skills and the current rank requirements for all ranks from Scout to Eagle.

Tenderfoot to First Class Skill VideosThese videos were designed for the previous set of rank requirements that ended on 12/31/15. They do not align with the new 2016 requirements, however most are still required, except now at different stages then listed in the videos. These videos were produced by the BSA and are an excellent resource for the old requirements or the new.
The Videos come in 3 playlists. In the upper left corner there is a menu icon, click it to select the video you want to watch. A listing of the skills covered in each of the playlists appears to the right of each video screen. |
