History:
Troop 283 is the oldest, continuously chartered scout troop in Minnesota and is going strong today! Serving boys ages 11-18 in the Wayzata and Plymouth areas, Troop 283 offers opportunities for fun, friendship, community service, leadership, and life skills that will carry through to adult life. Troop 283 maintains an active and vibrant year-round schedule. Wayzata Community Church is our charter organization, which provides outstanding community space for fellowship, troop meetings, and banquets. Troop 283 welcomes boys of all faiths. Scouts and leaders are guided by the Scout Oath and Law.
